AN ORDINANCE AIVIENDING CHAPTER 13
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE
!BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE
iOF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:

iSECTION ONE: That Section 13.106 of the Municipal Code of Mount Prospect of 1957 ,j
:as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by increasing the annual l
'fee for a Class E liquor license from Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00), to One !
,Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00); so that hereafter the said Section 13.106 shall be ~
· and read as follow s: ~

" SECTION 13.106. Licenses and Permits.
A. Except as may be provided for the issuance of certain permits under i
the terms of subsection B herein, every person, firm, or corporation!
engaged in the retail sale of alcoholic liquor in the Village of Mount ~
Prospect shall first have obtained a suitable liquor license authorizin~
the specific type and character of such alcoholic liquor sale as may bt
contemplated in such retail business. !

1. Each such licensee shall pay an annual license fee for such licenie.

2. Such licenses shall be divided into the following classifications, i
which shall include the annual fees for such licenses as indicate4
herein: 0
CLASS "A" license, which shall authorize the licensee to sell and
offer for sale at retail in the premises specified in such license
alcoholic liquor for consumption on said premises and_also al-
coholic liquor in its original package. The annual fee therefor
shall be $1,500.
CLASS "B" license, which shall authorize the .licensee to sell and
offer for sale at retail in the premises specified in such license
alcoholic liquor only for consumption on the said premises.
The annual fee therefor shall be $1,000.
CLAS S II C" license, which shall authorize the licensee to sell and
offer for sale at retail in the premises specified in such license
alcoholic liquor in its original package only. The annual fee
therefor shall be $1.000.

CLASS "D" license for issuance to private clubs and civic or fratern~
organizations not operated for pecuniary profit, which shall autlior
ize the licensee to sell and offer for sale at retail in the premises!
specified in such license alcoholic liquor to its members and gue~t~
only for consumption on the said premises. The annual fee ther1fo
shall be $250. ~

CLASS "E" license, for issuance to caterers, which shall authorize I
the licensee to sell and offer for sale at retail in the premises ~
specified in such license alcoholic liquor for consumption on the I
premises where sold. !

Consumption of alcoholic liquor at or over a bar shall be
permitted, but all consumption shall be limited to those
patrons who are invited guests and dining on the pre-
mises specified in such license.

CLASS "R" license, for issuance to restaurants, which shall authorite
the licensee to sell and offer for sale at retail alcoholic liquor fo~
consumption on the premises where sold. '

1. Consumption of alcoholic liquor at or over a bar is specific4y
prohibited and any consumption of alcoholic beverages shal~
be limited to those patrons who are dining in such restaurarlt.

The annual fee therefor shall be $1,000.
CLASS "L" license, for issuance to restaurants offering live music
as entertainment at least four (4) evenings of each week, which
shall authorize the licensee to sell and offer for sale at retail.

consumption on the premises where sold.

Consumption of alcoholic liquor shall be permitted for a
longer period of time each day than shall be permitted
other liquor license classifications -- pursuant to the
terms of Section 13.115.

The annual fee therefor shall be $2,000.
CLASS "1'11" license, for issuance to hotels. motels. motor inns. or
