ORDINANCE NO. 2661
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 18
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE
OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That pages 1 and 6 of Schedule I (Speed Restrictions) of Article XX
of Chapter 18 of the Municipal Code of Mount Prospect of 1957, as amended, be and
the same are hereby further amended in their entireties; so that hereafter the said
pages 1 and 6 of Schedule I of Article XX of Chapter 18 shall be and read as follows:
"
ARTICLE XX. APPENDIX
SCHEDULE I. Speed Restrictions
In accordance with Section 18.601, and when signs are erected giving no-
tice thereof, no person shall operate a motor vehicle in excess of the speed
limits indicated upon the following streets or portions of streets and/or
driveways; except that the provisions of Section 18.605, regarding special
speed limits while passing schools, shall take precedence during school
days when school children are present and shall in no way be construed to
be in conflict with this Schedule I.

SECTION SIX: That page 1 of Schedule XIV (Fire Lanes) of Article XX of Chap-
ter 18 of the Municipal Code of Mount Prospect of 1957, as amended, be and the
same is hereby amended in its entirety; so that hereafter the said page 1 of
Schedule XIV of Article XX of Chapter 18 shall be and read as follows:

" SCHEDULE XIV. Fire Lanes
In accordance with Section 18.1321 A, and when signs are erected giving
notice thereof, no person shall at any time block or obstruct the following
described districts, streets, driveways ,areas, or parts thereof:
1. All of the paved driveways located in, about and around that property
improved with five (5) buildings known as the Algonquin Trails
Apartments, located at 2070-3000 West Algonquin Road.
2. The Alpine Apartments in the following areas:
a. Fifteen (15) feet in either direction of the fire hydrant located on the
northeast corner of the building known as 1520 Dempster Street;
b. The driveway directly west of the building known as 1530 Dempster
Street;
c. Fifteen (15) feet on either side of the fire hydrant located on the
northwest corner of the building known as 1540 Dempster Street;
and
d. The driveway directly east of the building known as 1550 Dempster
Street.
3. That paved service driveway adjacent to the southeast side of the build-
ing known as The Boar's Head Restaurant, located in the Randhurst
Shopping Center.
4. The easterly paved driveway adjacent to the building containing Butch
McGuire's, located at 300 East Rand Road; also the circular drive adja-
cent to the front of said building, except the designated parking area
east of the circular drive.
5. The one (1) lane that is immediately adjacent to the building and side-
walk on the east side and the lane adjacent to and for a distance of
eighteen (18) feet north of the north wall of the building located at the
Central Plaza, located at 2-22 North Main Street.
6. Both sides of the driveway between the north line of Central Road and
the south building line of the office building of that property commonly
known as 500 West Central Road.
7. Those paved driveways upon the property known as The Colony, pursu-
ant to and as shown upon Exhibit IV of Ordinance No. 2424, passed and
approved May 1, 1973.
8. Those paved driveways upon the property known as Colony Country,
pursuant to and as shown upon Exhibit B as Amended Item No.1, to that
Consent Decree entered in Case No. 65 CH 5300, on April 24, 1972. "
SECTION SEVEN: That Schedule XVI (Prohibited Operation of Certain Vehicles
Upon Certain Streets) of Article XX of Chapter 18 of the Municipal Code of Mount
Prospect of 1957, as amended, be and the same is hereby amended in its entirety;
so that hereafter the said Schedule XVI of Article XX of Chapter 18 shall be and
read as follows:
