ORDINANCE NO. 2685
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING EUCLID AVENUE BETVvEEN
ELMHURST ROAD AND THE EAST LINE OF THE RAND-
HURST SHOPPING CENTER
~HEREAS, the land hereinafter described is both contiguous to the Village of Mount
rospect and wholly bounded on all sides by the Village of Mount Prospect and the
ity of Prospect Heights; and
7HEREAS, the said territory is not presently within the boundaries of any munici-
ality; and
VHEREAS, the said property comprises less than sixty (60) acres; and
HEREAS , the Illinois Revised Statutes, Chapter 24, Section 7-1-13 provides for
he annexation of such territory by the Village upon passage of an Ordinance pur-
uant thereto; and
oI/HEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the ViHage of Mount Prospect,
ook County, Illinois, find and believe it to be in the best interests of the Village
ECTION ONE: That all land and territory legally described as follows, to-'wit:
All that part of Euclid A venue, lying East of the West line of the
Northeast Quarter (-1) of Section 27 and East of the West line of the
Southeast Quarter GJ of Section 27, all in Township 42 North, Range
11 East of the Third Principal Meridian and lying West of the West
line, extended north of Brickman Manor First Addition, Unit No. Six,
being a Subdivision of part of the East Half (D of the Southeast Quar-
ter (i) of Section 27, Township 42 North, Range 11 East of the Third
Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois,

,he unincorporated territory of Cook County, is contiguous to the Village of Mount prtbS--
ect, is wholly surrounded by both the Village of Mount Prospect and the City of Pro _
ect Heights, and comprises 4.06 acres and is, therefore, less than sixty (60) acres

O:ECTION TWO: That Map 24-N contained in SECTION ONE of Ordinance No. 2410,
assed and approved March 20, 1.973, be amended to reflect the extension of the
orporate limits of the Village of Mount Prospect to include the property herein-

I directed to file in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois. a cer1ti-
fied copy of this Ordinance, together with an accurate map of the territory annexed. 1
SECTION FOUR: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after I
its passage. approval, and publication in the manner provided by law. I
