HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 2685 12/21/1976 ~ ~ $; ~;> ~ ~ ;, I , I I ORDINANCE NO. 2685 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING EUCLID AVENUE BETVvEEN ELMHURST ROAD AND THE EAST LINE OF THE RAND- HURST SHOPPING CENTER ~HEREAS, the land hereinafter described is both contiguous to the Village of Mount rospect and wholly bounded on all sides by the Village of Mount Prospect and the ity of Prospect Heights; and 7HEREAS, the said territory is not presently within the boundaries of any munici- ality; and VHEREAS, the said property comprises less than sixty (60) acres; and HEREAS , the Illinois Revised Statutes, Chapter 24, Section 7-1-13 provides for he annexation of such territory by the Village upon passage of an Ordinance pur- uant thereto; and oI/HEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the ViHage of Mount Prospect, ook County, Illinois, find and believe it to be in the best interests of the Village ECTION ONE: That all land and territory legally described as follows, to-'wit: All that part of Euclid A venue, lying East of the West line of the Northeast Quarter (-1) of Section 27 and East of the West line of the Southeast Quarter GJ of Section 27, all in Township 42 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian and lying West of the West line, extended north of Brickman Manor First Addition, Unit No. Six, being a Subdivision of part of the East Half (D of the Southeast Quar- ter (i) of Section 27, Township 42 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois, i I I I hich territory is not presently wit'hin the boundaries of any municipality but is in I ,he unincorporated territory of Cook County, is contiguous to the Village of Mount prtbS-- ect, is wholly surrounded by both the Village of Mount Prospect and the City of Pro _ ect Heights, and comprises 4.06 acres and is, therefore, less than sixty (60) acres n size; be and is hereby annexed to the Village of Mount Prospect so th.at hereafter aid territory shall be included within the boundary lines and limits of the Village ofl ount Prospect -- as is by la.w in such case made and provided.
