MT. PROSPECT SPECIAL EVENTS COMMISSION
Meeting Minutes
May 1, 2004
A TTENDEES: Leo Floros, Lit Floros, Jill Friedrichs, Janice Farley, Martha Helm,
Linda Hoefert, Teresa Wolf
Leo Floros called the meeting to order at 9: 10 am. The minutes of the April meeting
were approved. There wasn't a Financial Report this month.
Leo announced that he had received a letter of resignation, effective May 1, 2004, from
Corky Dunn, who will be moving to Florida.
Welcome to Mt. Prospect: Comments were made from Commission members that the
event was very successful. Teresa Wolf reported that because the River Trails Park
District Spring brochure is not available at the time of this event, Dale Draznin may look
into holding it a week later.
4th of July: Jill Friedrichs reported that she has received, as of this date, approximately
20 responses to her letters. The committee's next meeting will be on Wednesday,
May 12.
Do-It-Yourself Sousa: Martha Helm reported that she has received, as of this date, eight
registrations. She will keep in contact with Cheryl Lufitz and Ralph Wilder from the Mt.
Prospect Park District. Leo suggested that she speak with the high school music directors
for additional players.
The meeting adjourned at 9:40 am. The next meeting will be June 5, 2004.
