Mt. Prospect Special Events Commission
Meeting Minutes
Saturday, February 11,2006
Attendees: Bob Ancona, Dale Draznin, Janice Farley, Leo Floros, Lil Floros, Jill
Friedrichs, Eileen Gattas, Martha Helm, Linda Hoefert, Kathy Janonis, Jim Uszler, Laury
Youngquist,
Lil Floros called the meeting to order at 9:05 for the purpose of discussion on the
Celestial Celebration XIII. The Financial Report as of February 10 was distributed.
The following comments were made:
Theme - Very good
Decorations - Balloons were falling
Menu - One comment that their food was cold and not tasty.
There was only one fork per place setting and no bread and butter plate
Tickets -710 tickets were sold
Name tags - Jill Friedrichs requested assistance next year, especially tying knots
Printed Programs - Very nice - Theme and colors carried through
Microphone - Youth singers in back row of chorus were hard to hear
Band - Very good musicians and singers
The following suggestions were made for next year -
Continuous (recorded?) music when the band is on their break
Hand railing at stairs to stage
Have a man available at bottom of the stairs to assist award winners
The meeting adjourned at 10:05.
