ORDINANCE NO. 2734
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 11.1117
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILL.AGE
OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That Section 11.1117 of the Municipal Code of 1957, as amended,
I be and the same is hereby further amended in its entirety by increasing the
taxicab rates to one dollar and ten cents ($1.10) for the first mile and eighty
I cents ($.80) for each additional mile; so that hereafter the said Section 11.1117
shall be ani read as follows:
If
SECTION 11.1117. Taxicab Fares. Prevailing rates within the Village
limits of Mount Prospect are as follows:
A. Seventy cents ($.70) for the first one-half of a mile or fraction there-
of for one (1) passenger.
B. Ten cents ($ .10) for each additional one-eighth mile or fraction there-
of over and above the first one-half mile for one (1) passenger.
C. Twenty cents ($.20) for each one and one-half minute waitLTlg time or
traffic delay.
D. Ten cents ($ .10) for each additional passenger above the age of
twelve (12) years for the entire trip.
E. Twenty-five cents ($.25) service charge is added to the above rates
for parcel delivery and the handling of all items other than normal
luggage.
F. Fifty cents ($.50) service charge is added to the above rates for all
trips which do not originate or terminate within the Village of Mount
Prospect. n
SECTION TWO: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval, and publication in the manner provided by law.
