HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 2735 08/16/1977 II I I l 8/5/77 ORDINANCE NO. 2ns AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN PROPERTY OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS I HEREAS, the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect have I determined that the property hereinafter described is. no longer necessary . appropriate, useful to, profitable to, or for the best interests of the Villag'e of Mount Prospect; and WHEREAS, the corporate authorities find it in the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect to sell the real estate legally described as follows: i Lot One Hundred Twenty (120) in First Addition to Bluett's Fairview Gardens, being a Subdivision of part of the West Half (Wi) of the East half (E.!) of the South East quarter (SEt) and part of the East half <Et) of the West half (Wi) of the South East quarter (SE-U of Section 35, Township 42 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois : said property being commonly known as 310 North Stratton Lane, Mount , Prospect, Illinois; I I NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: That a sale of the property described in SECTION TWO here- of be and the same is hereby directed to be made under terms and conditions meeting the approval of the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount IProspect, in accordance with the statutes of the State of Illinois. ! ISECTION TWO: That the Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect be and is hereby directed to cause a public n.otice advertising for bids for such pro- erty to be published once each week for three successive weeks in the ount Prospect Herald, and said notice shall be in substantially the following form: 1T SALE OF LAND NOTICE TO BIDDERS Notice is hereby given that the Village Manager of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, will receive bids at the office of the Village Manager, 100 South Emerson Street, until 11: 00 a.m. C.S. T. September 1, 1977, at which time the Bid Pro- posals for the purchase of, certain land presently owned by the Village of Mount Prospect, will be opened and publicly read. This particular vacant parcel commonly known as 310 North Stratton Lane, Mount Prospect, Illinois, is approximately 75' x 140' in size, zoned for single family residential develop- ment, and is legally described as follows: I J r I I Lot One Hundred Twenty (120) in First Addition to Bluett's Fairview Gardens, being a Subdivision of part of the West half (Wi) of the East half (Ei) o{the South East quarter (SEi) and part of the East half (Ei) of the West half (W.l) of the South East quarter (SEi) of Section 35, Township 42 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois. Prospective bidders and interested persons may review the location notes at the Village Hall, 100 South Emerson Street, Mount Pros- pect, from the office of the Village Attorney. " I SECTION THREE: That bids received in response to said advertisement I for bids shall be opened at the office of the Village Manager, 100 South I Emerson Street, on the lst of September, 1977, at the hour of 11: 00 a.m. IC.S.T. ! By Order of Mayor and Board of Trustees, Village of Mount Prospect, SECTION FOUR: That within thirty (30) days after a bid is accepted j the successful bidder shall tender to the Village the consideration specified in the bid accepted and upon receipt of such consideration the President land Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect shall thereupon cause the llnecessary legal papers to be issued in the name of the said Village to the successful bidder for the real estate successfully bid upon. The corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect will furnish a warranty deed with a good and merchantable title.
