HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 2736 08/16/1977 II I I I I I I I I II Ii II WHEREAS, the corporate 8.uthorities of the Village of Mount Prospect have I determined that the property hereinafter described is no longer necessal'}" , I appropriate, useful to, profitable to, or for the best interests of the Village I ! of Mount Prospect; and I II II II I: I I 8/8/77 ORDINANCE NO. 2736 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SA;LE OF CERTAIN PROPERTY OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS Vi'HEREAS, the corporate authorities find it in the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect to sell the real estate legally described as follows: Lot One (1) in Block One in Bluett's Subdivision of part of the North Half (f) of the Southeast Quarter (:1) of Section 34, Town- ship 42 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian , according to Plat thereof, registered in the Office of the Regis- trar of Titles of Cook County, as Document No. 1464233; said property being commonly known as 309 North William Street, Mount Prospect, Illinois; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS; SECTION ONE: That a sale of the property described in SECTION TWO here- of be and the SlL'1le is hereby directed to be made under terms and conditions meeting the approval of the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect, in accordance with the statutes of the State of Illinois. NOTICE TO BIDDERS Notice is hereby given that the Village Manager of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, will receive bids at the office of the Village Manager, 100 South Emerson Street, until 11: 00 a.m. C.S. T. Mount Prospect, Illinois, is basically tri- angular in shape with 107.97 feet on William Street, 138.81 feet on Rand Road, and a south lot line of 125 feet in size. It is zoned for single family residential development, and is legally described as follows: .. Prospective bidders and interested persons may review the location notes at the Village Hall, 100 South Emerson Street, Mount Prospect, from the office of the Village Attorney. " SECTION THREE: That bids received in response to said advertisement for bids shall be opened at the office of the Village Manager, 100 South Emerson Street, on the 1st of September, 1977, at the hour of 11: 00 a.m. C.S.T. SECTION FOUR: That within thirty (30) days after a bid is accepted, the successful bidder shall tender to the Village the consideration specified in the bid accepted and upon receipt of such consideration the President and Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect shall thereupon cause the necessary legal papers to be issued in the name of the said Village to the successful bidder for the real estate successfully bid upon. The corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect will furnish a warranty deed with a good and merchantable title. SECTION FIVE: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in the manner provided by law.
