ORDINANCE NO. 4818
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE V ENTITLED
"FINANCE DEPARTMENT" OF CHAPTER 4
OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That Section 4.504.K of Article V entitled "Finance Department" of
Chapter 4 (Appointive Village Officers) of the Village Code of Mount Prospect, as
amended, is hereby further amended by adding thereto subparagraph 8; so that
hereafter said Section 4.504.K. 8 shall include the following:
" 8. Upon the written authorization of the Village Manager to make transfers
between or among accounts within the same department or between or
among departments within the same fund. The authority to make such
transfers need only be granted once and shall extend until revoked, in
writing, by the Village Manager. Any budget revision that would increase
the total expenditures for any fund may only be accomplished by a
budget amendment approved by the Village Board. The Village Manager
shall be notified in writing of any inter-departmental transfer within a
fund. "
SECTION TWO: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
