ORDINANCE NO. 2771
AN ORDINANCE Al\IENDING THE MOUNT PROSPECT TRAFFIC CODE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That Schedule II of Article XX of Chapter 18 (Traffic Codl})
of the 1\1unicipal Code of the Village of Mount Prospect of 1957, as amended,
be and the same is hereby further amended by-amending page 1 and page 2
thereof in order to delete certain turns for Elmhurst Avenue at both Illinois
Route 83 and Lincoln Street, to delete certain turns for Illinois Route 83 at
both Elmhurst Avenue and Lincoln. Street, and to delete certain turns for
Linneman Road at Church Street; so that hereafter the said page 1 and
page 2 of Schedule II of Article XX of the Traffic Code shall be and read as
folkws:

SCHEDULE II. Prohibited Turns
In accordance with the provisions of Section 18.807 and when signs are
erected giving notice thereof, operators of vehicles shall not make the in-
dicated turning movement upon those streets at the intersections designated
below; except that where "school hours" is described such turns shall be
prohibited at the hours of 8 A.M. to 9: 30 A.IV!., 11: 30 A.M. to 1 P.M. , and
2: 30 P.M. to 4 P .I'll. on school days only.

SECTION TWO: That Schedule III of Article XX of Chapter 18 (Traffic Code)
of the I'vlunicipal Code of the Village of Mount Prospect of 1957, as amended,
be and the same is hereby further amended by deleting southbound Elmhurst
Avenue, between Lincoln Street, and Illinois Route 83, as a one-way street
and by deleting westbound Lincoln Street. between Elmhurst Avenue and
Illinois Route 83, as a one-way street; so that hereafter the said Schedule III
of Article XX of the Traffic Code shall be and read as follows:

" SCHEDULE III. One-Way Streets
In accordance with Section 18.708, and when signposted, traffic shall move
only in the direction indicated upon the following streets; except that where
"School Hours" is described such streets shall be one-way between the
hours of 8:00 a.m. to 9: 30 a.m., 11: 30 a.m. to 1: 00 p.m., and 2: 30 p.m.
to 4: 00 p.m. on school days only.

of the Municipal Code of the Village of Mount Prospect of 1957, as amended,
be and the same is hereby further amended by amending page three thereof
in order to delete the southbound stop sign for Elmhurst Avenue at the
intersection with Illinois Route 83; so that hereafter the said page three
of Schedule IV of Article XX of the Traffic Code shall be and read as follows:

on the West side of Main Street between Illinois Route 83 and Kensington
