A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A
SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH METCALF & EDDY RELATIVE
TO THE ROUTE 83 "S" CURVE IMPROVEMENT

I WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect is currently engaged
! in the reconstruction and improvement of Illinois Route 83
,from Sha-Bonee Trail to Milburn Avenue, known as FA Route 872,
jSection 1976-030R~ Project F-872(1); and
/WHEREAS, the engineering firm of Metcalf & Eddy/Alstot,
I March & Guillow, Inc. by agreement with the Village of Mount
" Prospect is providing constructiQn engineering services for this
improvement; and
WHEREAS, the estimated fees for providing these services as
set forth in the agreement will be insufficient to compensate
for such services to complete the project; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with provisions of the agreement the
engineering firm has notified the Village and has determined
that the upper limit of the fee should be adjusted to $54,176 in
order to allow the firm to complete the work called for in the
agreement, and has prepared a supplemental agreement adjusting
the maximum amount of total fee payment; and
WHEREAS, the Village has reviewed the request for additional
fees and is in substantial concurrence;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE BOARD OF
ITRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
ISECTION ONE That the Village Mayor and Clerk be duly authorized
to execute the Supplemental Agreement on behalf of the Village
IOf Mount Prospect and to affix its corporate seal to said
Supplemental Agreement~ a copy of which is attached hereto as
"EXHIBIT A" and by this reference incorporated herein.
SECTION TWO: That this Resolution shall be in full force and
I effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner
provided by law.
