RESOLUTION NO. 22-78
A RESOLUTION MADE IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE C.E. T .A. PROGRAM
I
IW.HEREAS, the~illage of 1V~ount Pro~p.ect has been involved with the program of
~he ComprehensIve EducatIonal Trammg Act; and
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the Village of Mount Prospect to carry out the CO:;l-
tract with the Cook County Office of Manpower j which contract is effective
October 1, 1978 through September 30, 1979; and
WHEREAS, under the terms of the aforedescribed contract, the Village of Mount
Prospect, as Sub-Grantee, must indemnify and hold harmless the County of Cook,
its agents, officials, and employees;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: -
ISECTION ONE: That the Village of Mount Prospect, as Sub-Grantee, hereby Hna
erewith desires to comply with Section A32 of its contract with the County of
Cook, which contract is in.volved with the C.E. T .A. Program and is effective
ctober 1, 1978; and, accordingly, as Sub-Grantee, the Village of Mount Prospect
shall indemnify, keep and save harmless the County, its agents, officials, and
mployees, against all injuries, deaths, loss, damage, claims, patent claims,
suits, liabilities, judgments. costs and expenses, which may in anywise accrue
gainst the County in consequence of the granting of this contract or which may
'11 anywise result therefrom, whether or not it shall be alleged or determined. thd
he act was caused through negligence or omission of the Sub-Grantee or his
_mployees. of the subcontractor or his employees, if a.ny, or of the County of Cook
l' its employees. and the Sub-Grantee shall, at his own expense, appear. def-end.
nd pay all charges of attorneys and all costs and other expenses arising therefrom
r incurred in connection therewith, and, if any judgment shall be ren.dered Rgainst
he County in any such action, the Sub-Grantee shall, at his own expense, satisfy
nd discharge the same. The Sub-Grantee expressly understands and agrees that
ny performance bond or insurance protection required by this contract. or other-
ise provided by Sub-Grantee, shall in no way limit the responsibility to indemnify
eep and save harmless and defend the County as herein provided.
ECTION TWO: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from C!.nd aftel.'
