WHEREJI_S, a portion of I-1oun t Prospe ct Road lies wi thin the I project limits as indicated on the attached EXHIBIT "An; a~d WHEREAS, because of certain intersection design features pro- posed for the project, the Cook. County Highway DepartJuent wishes to relinquish its maintenance and jurisdictional control over Hount Prospect Road within the project limits. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE M~YOR AND THE BOARG OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: I I SECTION ONE That upon completion and acceptance of ~:he sub-. ject project, the Village of Mount Prospect agrees to assume from Cook County jurisdictional control over that part of Mount Prospect Road which lies within the project and Village limits. This area is delineated on the attached EXHIBIT"A". llsECTION TWO That upon completion and acceptance of the subject project, the Village of Mount Prospect agrees to assume from Cook County maintenance responsibilities for that portion of 110unt Prospect Road vlithin the project limits from Centr.al Road south to the south terminus of the project. This road\'lray .i~; ~shovm on EXHIBIT "A". Such maintenance to include all t.raffic lanes, curb and gutter flags, drainage stru.ctures and paVe!IK~nt:. aarkings. II SECTION THREE That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner Iprovided by law.
