RESOLUTION NO. 7-79
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE l\'IANAGER
TO ENTER INTO AN AGR.EEMENT WITH THE LAW FIRM
OF VON BRIESEN & REDMOND
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, has existing contracts with
the Combined Counties Police Association and the Association of Independent
Municipal Employees regarding wages. fringe benefits, and certain conditions
of employment; and
WHEREAS, these contracts expire on April 30, 1979; and
WHERF...AS, the Combined Counties Police Association and the Association of
Independent Municipal Employees have requested modification of these existing
contracts regarding wages and benefits; and
WHEREAS, the Village is willing to meet and confer on the requests of these
employee associations; .
'NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:

: SECTION ONE: That the Village Manager is hereby directed and authorized to
'enter into an agreement with the law firm of Von Briesen & Redmond, as
irepresented by Steven B. Rynecki, for the purpose of representing the Village
:in this year's contract negotiations.
iSECTION TWO: That pursuant to Article V of Chapter 24 of the Illinois Revised
!Statutes, it shall be the policy of the Mayor and Buard of Trustees of the Village
lof Mount Prospect to delegate and monitor these employee group discussions
ithrough the Village Manager's office and the law firm of Von Briesen & Redmond
!by Steven B. Rynecki; and that it shall further be the policy of the Mayor and
iBoard of Trustees to decline to entertain any proposals from employees or their
irepresentatives, rather such proposals shall be submitted to the herein named
'representatives of the Mayor and Board of Trustees.
,SECTION THREE: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
iafter its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
