AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 18 ENTITLED
'TRAFFIC CODE' OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That Section 18.2002 entitled "Schedule II - Prohibited Turns" of
Chapter 18 of the Village Code of Mount Prospect, as amended, is hereby further
amended by deleting Illinois Rte. 83 - Northbound - Left - Elmhurst Ave.", "Illinois Rte.
93 - Southbound - Right - Elmhurst Ave." and "Illinois Rte 83 - Northbound - Left -
Lincoln Street" and by adding in proper alphabeticel sequence "Illinois Rt. 83 -
Northbound - Left - Wille St.", "Illinois R 83 - Southbound - Left - Pine St.", "Illinois Rt. 83
- North & Southbound - Left - Milburn Ave." and "Milburn Ave. - East & Westbound - Left
- Main St. (R.83)"; so that hereafter said Section 18.2002 of Chapter 18 of the Village
Code of Mount Prospect shall include the following:
"Name of Direction of Prohibited
Street Traffic Movement Turn Into (Name of Street)
Illinois R. 83 Northbound Left Wille St.
Illinois R. 83 Southbound Left Pine St.
Illinois R. 83 North & Southbound Left Milbum Ave.
Milburn Ave. East & Westbound Left Main St. (R. 83)"
SECTION TWO: That Section 18.2017 entitled "Schedule XVll - Restricted Intersection
Movements" of Chapter 18 of the Village Code of Mount Prospect, as amended, is
hereby further amended to add in proper alphabetical sequence "Milburn Ave. - East &
Westbound - Left - Main St. (R.83)"; so that hereafter said Section 18.2017 of Chapter
18 of the Village Code of Mount Prospect shall include the following:
" Intersection
and Direction Restriction
East and westbound Right turn only
traffic on Milbum Ave. Proceeding straight across Main St.
at its intersection with (R. 83) is prohibited "
Main St. (R. 83)
SECTION THREE: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
AYES: Clowes, Henddcks, Hoefert, Skowron, Wilks
NAYS: None
ABSENT: None
