RESOLUTION NO.
25-79
A RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE CONSTRUCTION
OF WESTBOUND ENTRANCE AND EASTBOUND EXIT
RAMPS AT ELMHURST ROAD AND THE ILLINOIS TOLLWAY
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect shows a mutual concern
for the growth of the community with its citizens, merchants
and businessmen; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect recognizes that proper
planning of transportation must be conducted to prepare for
the continued growth of the community; and
WHEREAS, the Village has endeavored to represent and support
the needs of its citizens, the merchants and businessmen who
make up the community; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect, in the spirit of
cooperation, recognizes the need for additional westbound
entrance and eastbound exit ramps on the Illinois Tollway at
its intersection with Elmhurst Road; and
WHEREAS, the Mount Prospect Chamber of Commerce has agreed to
cooperate for the purpose of requesting the Illinois Tollway
Authority to construct additional westbound entrance and
eastbound exit ramps on the Illinois Tollway at its intersection
with Elmhurst Road;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That the Village of Mount Prospect is deeply
concerned that adequate transportation be provided to its
citizens and businesses in the future.

, SECTION ~WO: That in recognizing this need, the Village shall
I make every effort to cooperate with the State of Illinois Depart-
ment of Transportation, the Illinois Tollway Authority, and the
Mount Prospect Chamber of Commerce to pursue the construction
of westbound entrance and eastbound exit ramps on the Illinois
Tollway at Elmhurst Road.
SECTION THREE: That the Village of Mount Prospect will now
contact the Illinois Tollway Authority and make a formal request
that the additional entrance and exit ramps be constructed.
SECTION FOUR: That this Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner
provided by law.
