ORDINANCE NO. 4809
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTERS 1 AND 2 ENTITLED
OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF 'MOUNT PROSPECT
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That paragraph B of Section 1.102 entitled "Bond; Oath; Salary" of
Chapter 1 of the Village Code, as amended, is hereby further amended to require any
salary increase for the Village President shall be made at least 180 days before the
next term of office begins; so that hereafter said Section 1.102.B shall be and read as
follows:
" B. Any Ordinance providing for a change in the compensation or fringe
benefits of the Village President shall be adopted no less than one
hundred eighty (180) days before the beginning of the term of Village
President."
SECTION TVVO: That paragraph B of Section 21.102 entitled "Oath; Salary" of
Chapter 2 of the Village Code, as amended, is hereby further amended to require any
salary increase for Trustees shall be made at least 180 days before the next term of
office begins; so that hereafter said Section 1.102.B shall be and read as follows:
" B. Any Ordinance providing for a change in the compensation or fringe
benefits for Trustees shall be adopted no less than one hundred eighty
(180) days before the beginning of the term of Village President."
SECTION THREE: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval and publication in the manner provided by law.
