RESOLUTION NO.
37-79
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
SAFETY PROGRAM
WHEREAS, within the operational activities of any endeavor,
there may be exposure to personal injury or property damage;
and
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect recognizes that
effective loss prevention is an integral part of management
procedures to fully utilize personnel and maximize available
tax dollars; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect maintains that its
residents and employees are its most important assets and
their safety its greatest responsibility;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD
OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY,
ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That the Village of Mount Prospect will
actively participate in the Intergovernmental Risk Management
Agency and take advantage of the Loss Prevention and Safety .
Training Programs that will be provided through tEis AUency.
SECTION TWO: That the Village of Mount Prospect, in re-
cognizing the need for and the advantages of havi~g a
co~tinuing, all encompassing program for loss prevention,
will now adopt and maintain a Village-wide Safety Program.
SECTION THREE: That all municipal employees are expected,
as condition of employment, to adbpt the concept that the
safe way to perform a task is the most efficient and the
only acceptable way. Safety adherence and performance will
be considered an important measure of employee performance
evaluation.
SECTION FOUR: That this Resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval in the
manner prescribed by law.
