HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 2810 09/05/1978 L " ORDINANCE NO. 2810 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE BY PUBLIC AUCTION OF PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT WHEREAS, in the opinion of at least thnrefourths of the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect, it is no longer necessary or useful to or for the best interests of the Village of MOunt Prospect, to retain ownership of the personal property hereinafter described; and WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect to sell said personal property at a public auction to be held Saturday, September 30, 1978, at 12:00 Noon in Arlington Heights, Illinois; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: Pursuant to Section 11-76-4 of the Illinois Municipal Code, III, Rev. Stat., C24, Section 11-76-4, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect find that the following described property: LD. INVENTORY MINIMUM SPECIAL NO. YEAR MAKE MODEL VALUE SPECIFICATIONS 2729 113208H313l02 .1971 Inter- 3/4 Ton Pickup $100.00 pIs, plB national 549 D3H3461l 1953 Ford Vanette 50.00 Walk-in Van 4508 296241 1969 Inter- Cub Cadet 50.00 12 HP Riding Lawn national Tractor with MOwer now owned by the Village of Mount Prospect, is no longer necessary or useful to the Village of Mount Prospect and the best interests of the Village of MOunt Prospect will be served by its sale. SECTION TWO: Pursuant to said Section 11-76-4, the Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to sell the aforementioned personal property now owned by the Village of MOunt Prospect, at public auction on Saturday, September 30, 1978, at 12:00 Noon, at the Public Works Center, 222 North Ridge Avenue, Arlington Heights, Illinois, to the highest bidder on said personal p~operty. SECTION THREE: The Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to advertise the sale of the aforementioned personal property in a newspaper published within the community not less than ten (10) days before the date of said public auction. SECTION FOUR: No bid which is less than the minimum price set forth in the list of property to be sold shall be accepted. SECTION FIVE: The Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement for the sale of said personal property. SECTION SIX: Upon the payment of the full auction price, the Village nager is hereby authorized and directed to convey and transfer title to the aforesaid personal property, to the successful bidder.
