ORDINANCE NO. 2822
AN ORDINANCE AMENDI~G THE MOUNT PROSPECT TRAFFIC CODE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That Schedule I of Article XX of Chapter 18 (Traffic Code)
of the Municipal Code of the Village of Mount Prospect of 1957, as amended,
be and the same is hereby further amended by amending page 5 thereof in
order to upgrade the speed, limit on Prospect Avenue from 25 MPH to 30 MPH
between Maple Street and Mount Prospect Road; so that hereafter the
said page 5 of Schedule I of Article XX of the Traffic Code shall be and read
as follows:

SECTION TWO: That Schedule VI of Article XX of Chapter 18 (Traffic Code)
of the Municipal Code of the Village of Mount Prospect of 1957, as amended,
be and the same is hereby further amended by amending page 1 thereof in
order to delete a "No Parking - 5 minute Loading Zone" sign on the north side
of Evergreen Ave., between Maple St. and a pt. 70 feet east of Maple St. and
by amending page 2 thereof in order to add "No Parking Anytime" signs on
the circular portion of the Lynn Court cul-de-sac; so that hereafter the said
pages 1 and 2 of Schedule VI of Article XX of the Traffic Code shall be and
read as follows:

SECTION THREE: That Schedule XI of Article XX of Chapter 18 (Traffic Code)
of the Municipal Code of the Village of Mount Prospect of 1957, as amended,
be and the same is hereby further amended by amending page 1 thereof in
order to institute two hour parking restrictions on the north side of Evergreen
Avenue between Maple Street and a point 100 feet west of Elm Street, on the
north and south sides of Henry Street, between Maple and Elm Streets, and
by amending pa.ge 2 thereof in order to institute two hour parking restrictions on
the east and west sides of Maple Street, between Henry and Thayer Streets; so
that hereafter the said pages 1 and 2 of Schedule XI of Article XX of the Traffic
Code shall be and read as follows:

SECTION FOUR: That Subsection B of Section 18.1320 of Chapter 18 (Traffic
Code) of the Municipal Code of the Village of Mount Prospect of 1957, as amended,
be and the same is hereby further amended by deleting reference to thirty minute
parking and substituting therefor reference to four hour parking; so that here-
after the said Subsection B of Section 18.1320 of Chapter 18 shall be and read as
follows:

B. Four Hour Parking. Parking of automobiles and other vehicles
is limited to four (4) hours on any day except Saturdays,
Sundays and legal holidays between the hours of 7: 00 o'clock
a . m. and 6: 00 0' clock P . m. on the streets or portions thereof
included in Schedule XII of the Appendix to this Chapter. "
SECTION FIVE: That Schedule XII of Article XX of Chapter 18 (Traffic Code)
of the Municipal Code of the Village of Mount Prospect of 1957, as amended, be
and the same is hereby further amended in order to delete thirty minute parking
zones, and further amended to add four hour parking zones; to include in said
four hour parking zone the north side of Lincoln Street, the William and School
Streets except the first 81 feet east of School Street, the Library Parking Lot, and
the Senior Citizens Parking Lot; so that hereafter the said Schedule XII of Article
XX of the Traffic Code shall be and read as follows:
" SCHEDULE XII. Four Hour Parking

notice thereof, no person shall park a vehicle for more than four (4) hours
on any day, except Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays, between the
