ORDINANCE NO. 2827
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TIIEI3UI~DING. CODE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILk\GE
OF MOUNT PROSPECT ~ COOK COUNTY ~ ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That subparagraph c. of paragraph 2 of subsection B of Section
21.103 of the Municipal Code of the Village of Mount Prospect of 1957 ~ as amended:
be and the same is hereby further amended in its entirety ~ so as to restructure
the said subparagraph c. and thereby to amend the Code to allow tents and air
supported structures to be utilized under certain conditions; so that hereafter the
said subparagraph c. shall be and read as follows:
"
c. That Article IV be amended to make the following changes:
1) Amend Section 431. 2.8 so as to require oversized elevator
cabs in all buildings containing elevators.
2) Amend Section 422.3 so as to allow tents and air supported
structures on a temporary basis within the fire limits pro-
vided the following conditions are met:
a) That the tent or air supported structure, including
appurtenances such as tie-down ropes, stakes, and/or
cables, not be located within thirty (30) feet of any
building or lot line.
(1) That the tents, air supported structures, and
appurtenances thereof so erected shall be re-
moved within six (6) days.
(2) That the.6verall height of such'tents~ 'air supported
structures, and appurtenances thereof shall
not exceed twenty (20) feet.
(3) That whenever members of the general public
are present or are allowed in such tents and/or
air supported structures, the operator thereof
shall have made arrangements with the Fire
Chief as specified in this Municipal Code for
at least one (1) fire guard to be on duty.

b) With respect to tents: whenever any person is located
within same, the side flaps shall be tied open on all
sides; however, in the event of inclement weather,
the side flaps may be lowered. II
SECTION TWO: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, approval and publication in the manner provided by law.
