AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING THE INSTALLATION
O~ CER TAINW A TER MAINS'
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect operates a combined water works and
sewer system; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect
have reviewed the needs of owners of land in the vicinity of Busse Road, south of
.Iilburn Avenue (extended) and north of the south line of Golf Road, within the
ol'porate limits of the Village of Mount Prospect, and have determined that the
,xpansion and extension of the water works and sewage system is necessary for
he said area to meet the needs for adequate fire protection and potable water;
and
VHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of I\lOunt Prospect
elieve that the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect will be attained by
he passage of this Ordinance;
OW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINBD BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEE
F THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
EeTION ONE: That, pursuant to the authority vested in the Village of Mount
rospect under Article VII of the 1970 Constitution of the' State of Illinois as well as
ection 8.513 of Article V of Chapter 8 of the Municipal Code of Mount Prospect
f 1957, as amended, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Moun.t
rospect hereby determine and find that public necessity requires the installation
f certain water transmission mains and apPur'tenant facilities as being necessary
o provide adequate fire protection and potable water supply to the following
erritory:
That land located East of the Center line of Busse Road, South of Milburn
Avenue (Extended) TNest of Weller Creek, and North of Rusty Drive
(Extended); as well as
That land located East of the Center line of Busse Road, South of Estates
Drive (Extended), West of Kenilworth Avenue (Extended), and North of
the Center line of Lonnquist Boulevard; as well as
1'hat land located East of the Center line of Busse Road, South of the
Center line of Lonnquist Boulevard, West of Robert Drive (E}..rtended),
and North of the Center line of Golf Road;
oV'hich land and territory and water transmission lines are more sI?ecifically shown
n the plan attached hereto and hereby made a part hereof as ExhIbit A.
EeTION TWO: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
fterlts passage, approyal, and publication in the manner provided by law.
