HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 2859 12/26/1978 !< 4 '" ...-" '",--_..-' ~.i'" ., '4 ORDINANCE KG. 2859 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION :14.2201 OF THE TvIOUNT PROSPECT ZONING ORDINANCE ----._~ .~i WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect did comluc 6. public hearing under Case No. 80-Z-78. on the 16th day of November, 1978, on fl request for a zoning classification change from R-X (Single :Family Residence) District to 1-1 (Light Industrial) District of certain property hereinafter described; and ViHEREAS. a notice of the aforesaid public hearing vms made and published in the manner pl'ovided by law; and WHERE..I\.S, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect has recom- mended to the President and Board Q.f Trust.ees of the Village of Mount Prospect that the petitioner's request under said Case No. 8o.-Z-78 be granted; and WHEREAS. the Building Committee of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect has reviewed the matter herein and has recoIJ1mentled the approval th~1I'eof . to the President and Board of Truste~s of the Village of Mouht Prospect; and ViHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the \/illage of Mount Prospect have determined that the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect will be attained by the adoption of the following Ordinance regarding the subject property; NOW. THEREFORE. 13E IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TR'US'1'EE OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT. COOK COUNTY f ILLINOIS: SECTION O~E: That Subs.ection 1). of Section 14.2201 of the Municipal Code of the Village of Mount' Prospect of 1957. as amended, be and the same is hereby further I amEmded so as to add an additional permitted use within tbe I -1 (Light Indu.strivl) Distri.ct, which additional permitted use (being a Planned Unit Development involved with the petroleum industry) shall be adder.l to the said Subsection A in pJphabetical order and the I'emaining uses permitted shall thereafter be renumbE~red so that hert:)after the said Subsection A of Section 14.2201 sh811 be and read as foHows: " A. In the 1-1 Light Industrial District, the only HSeg which may be established are: 1. Bakeries 2. Bottling Works 3, Building material storage yards ~ trl,lt only when such material is stored in a buHding or is enclosr:1d in a fence !l.)t less than eight (8) feet nor more than ten (1 0) feet ll'1 hoight and with openings representing less than twenty--five percent (25%) of the sltrface of the fence, and including: *~ \ a. Coal, coke, or wood yards b. Lumber yards 4. CJl'an:ine, dyeing, and laundry establishments ''''~'::'',~; 5. Tndustrial and manufacturing plants (not e~,qluded by sub- section B hereof) where the process of manufi'tG,turing. com- pounding, packag'ing, or treatment of rnaterials is ca:erled on " , '_,d'~ " .., in such a manner as will" conform to the performance standards as set forth in Section 1<1.2206 hereof. 7. Municipal buildings, including: Village Hall, Police Station, Fire Station, and other buildings necessary for the hnplemen- tation of municipal services 8. Petroleum tank farm, depot, and pumping station when de- veloped as part of a Planned Unit Development 9. Professional or business office 10. Public Utility substations and facilities 11. Industrial training' center or clin5c 12. Storage warehouses. including wholesale warehouses or businesses. II SECTION TWO: That Subsection B of Section 14.2201 of the Munieipal Code of the Village of Mount Prospect of 1957, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended so as to modify the language of the 46th paragraph thereof, which 46th use excluded from the 1-1 District presently reads "46. Petroleum or its products, refining or wholesale storage of", and which in light of the foregoing SECTION ONE hereinabove shall be modified so that hereafter the said paragraph 46, contained in Subsection B of Section 14.2201 shall be and read as follows: n 46. Petroleum or its products, refining or wholesale storage or distribution of when not part of a Planned Unit Develop- ment . II SECTION THREE: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in the manner provided by law.
