AN ORDINANCE P..NNEXING LA.ND AND TERRITORY LYING
NORTH OF A LINE SOME 285 FEET (MORE OR LESS) NORTH
OF AND PARA.LLEL TO WHITE Oll...K BETWEEN HICKORY AVENUE
AND DOUGLAS AVENUE SHOWN ON MAP l-A'~S OF THE
ZONING ORDIN.ANCE OFTlfrfVftLAGE OF I\10t.J'NTPROSPECT

WHEREAS, a written petition under oath signed by the owners of record of land
hereinafter described has been filed with the Village Clerk of the Village of
Mount Prospect requesting that said land be annexed to the Village of Mount
Prospect; and
l'Y'HEREAS, all electors residing within the said property to be annexed have
affixed their signatures indicating their consent; and
WHEREAS, the said land is not within the corporate limits of any municipality,
but is contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS, the President end Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect
find and believe it to be in the best interests of the said Village that said land
and territory be annexed thereto;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT A~m BOA.RD OF TRUST E:
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT , COOK: COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
~ECTION ONE: That all land and territory legally described as follows:
That part of the Northwest 1/4 of Section. 10, Township 41 North,
Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, described as
foUows: Commencing at the Northeast corner of Lot 5 in Callero
& C8tino's Cypress Gardens, being a Subdivision of the West 1/2
of the Northwest 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of
Section 10 afo't'esaid; thence West along the North line of Lot 5
aforesaid and nlong the extension of the North line of Lot 5 afore-
sald West to the West line of Douglas Avenue, as dedicated; thence
South along the West line of Douglas Avenue, as dedicated, to the
intersection with the South line of Lot 5 aforesaid extended West;
thence East along the extension and along the South line of Lot 5
aforesaid to the Southeast corner of Lot 5 aforesaid; thence South
along the West line of Lot 12 in Callero & Catino's Cypress Gardens
aforesaid to the Southwest corner of I..ot 12 aforesaid; thence East
along the South line of Lot 12 aforesaid and along the South line of
Lot 12 aforesaid extended East to the East line of Hickory Street,
as dedicated; thence North along the East line of Hickory Street
aforesaid to the Southwest corner of Lot 3 in DePaul's Subdivision of
part of the East 1/2 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 10, Township 41
North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian; thence West
along a line being the South line of Lot 3 in DePaul' s Subdivision
aforesaid extended West to the West line of Hiclwl'Y Street, as dedicated;
thence North along the West Une of Hickory Street, as dedicated, afore-
said to the Northeast corner of Lot 11 in CalJero & Catino's Cypress
Gardens aforesaid; thence West along the North line of Lot 11 aforesaid
to the Northwest corner of Lot 11 aforesaid; thence South along the
West line of Lot 11 aforesaid to the Northeast corner of Lot 5 aforesaid.
being the place of beginning t all in Cook County, Illinois;
an accurate map of which territory is attached hereto and hereby made a part
hereof by this reference be and the same is hereby annexed to the Village of
Mount Prospect. Cook County, Illinois.
SECTION TWO: That Map l-A-S contained in SECTION ONE of Ordinance No. 2410,
l1:o\ssed and a!:;proved l\lHrch 30, 1973 t be amended to reflect the extension of
