ORDINANCE NO. 2930
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 11.1117 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT TO
INCREASE TAXI CAB FARES

II WHEREAS, Birks Transportation Company has requested an increase in the
taxi cab fares charged in the Village of Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS, the Public Health and Safety Committtee has recommended and the
, President and Board of Trustees has concurred in such recommendation that a
taxi cab fare increase be allowed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEE
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That Section 11.1117 A. of the Municipal Code of the Village of
Mount Prospect be, and the same is hereby amended by deleting therefrom the
language "Seventy cents ($.70)" as it appears in said Section and substituting
I therefor the language "Ninety cents ($.90), and by deleting therefrom the
language "one-half" as it appears in said Section and substituting therefor the
language "one-third"; so that said Section shall hereafter be and read as follows:
"SECTION 11.1117 A. Ninety cents ($.90) for the first
one-third of a mile or fraction thereof for one (1) passenger."
SECTION TWO: That Section 11.1117 B. of the Municipal Code of the Village of
Mount Prospect be, and the same is hereby amended by deleting therefrom the
language "one-eighth" as it appears in said Sction and substituting therefor the
language "one-ninth" and be deleting therefrom the language "one-half' as it
appears in said Section and substituting therefor the language "one-third"; so
that said Section 11.1117 B. shall hereafter be and read as follows:

one-ninth" mile or fraction thereof over and above the first
one-third mile for one (1) passenger."

.. SECTION THREE: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval, and publication in the manner provided by law.
