RESOLUTION NO. 4-80
A RESOLUTION COMMEMORATING THE
MEMORY OF CLARENCE O. SCHLA VER
WHEREAS, CLARENCE O. SCHLA. VER was a member of our community
(or over thirtyfive years; and
¡WHEREA.S: during hi~ residenc!, CLAR;ENCE O. SCHLA VER served his
r~llow cItizens and his communIty as VIllage Trustee from 1954 to 1961; as
¡village President from 1961 to 1965; as Vice President and Executive
Firector of the Mount Prospect Chamber of Commerce from 1971 to 1980; and
IwHEREAS, CLARENCE O. SCHLA VER further extended his community service
!by serving as President of the Mount Prospect Historical Society from 1973
0 1974; as an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church; as a member
f the Moose Lodge; as a charter member of the Mount Prospect Toastmasters;
I onorary Member of Rotary; and as a dedicated member of the Lions Club.
OW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEE
F THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY,' ILLINOIS:
ECTION ONE: That on behalf of all the elected officials and the residents
It e III age of Mount Prospect, we extend our heartfelt sympathy to the family
f CLARENCE O. SCHLAVER and offer our deep and sincere sympathy to, them
,n their time of sorrow. '
ECTION TWO: That on behalf of all the citizens, friends, and officials who
ave worked with CLARENCE O. SCHLA VER these many years, we offer our
ppreciation and gratitude for his leadership, his commitment to his
ommunity, and his genuine friendship for us all.
I ECTION THREE: That as a perpetual memento. a copy of this Resolution
i e spread upon the minutes of the Board of Trustees of the Village of
I ount Prospect, and that a certified copy of this Resolution be spread upon
¡ he minutes of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, and
!!that a certified copy of same be suitably engraved upon parchment and
rresented to the family of CLARENCE O. S CHLA VER.
I~ECTION FOI!R; That thia Resolution shall be in full force and effect from
I[nd after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
