RESOLUTION NO. 11-80
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING MUNICIPAL POLICY FOR STORMWATER CONNECTIONS
IN THE RANDVIEW-HIGHLAND SUBDIVISION
WHEREAS, the Randview-Highland Subdivision is residential property bounded
on the north by Kensington Road, on the south by Highland Street, on the
west by Forest Avenue and on the east by Elmhurst Road and a map of which
is attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by reference; and,
WHEREAS, this area is served by combined sanitary and storm sewers; and,

WHEREAS, engineering data has demonstrated that the combined sewers of
the Randview-Highland Subdivision are at or near capacity as of the date
lof this Resolution; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect
are desirous of protecting the properties of the residents in the
IRandview-Highland Subdivision from flooding by prohibiting further

la stormwater connection presents engineering data to the Village Engineer
which, in the opinion of the Village Engineer, show that such connection
¡will not overload the combined storm and sanitary sewers located in the
IRandView-Highland Subdivision; and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE'OF MOUNT PROSPECT OF COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:

¡Highland Subdivision except from those properties currently existing
¡within the boundaries of th~Randview-Highland Subdivision as shown on
Exhibit A hereto, unless a person requesting such a stormwater connection
I¡'presents engineering data to the Village Engineer which, in the.o. Pin. ion
of the Village Engineer, shows that such connection will not overload
the combined storm and sanitary sewers located in the Randview-Highland
I
¡Subdivision. The Village Engineer be and is hereby directed to forward
,written notice by mail or personal delivery to the owners of property
¡'located within the boundaries of Randview-Highland Subdivision shown on
Exhibit A hereto of any requests to connect storm sewers to the
¡cOmbined sanitary and storm sewers of tþ.e Randview-Highland Subdivision
¡prior to approving any such request.
¡SECTION TWO: That this. Resolution shall be in full force and effect
¡from and after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
