RESOLUTION NO. 27-80
A RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING THE MOUNT PROSPECT
PARK DISTRICT ON ITS 25TH ANNIVERSARY
WHEREAS, the Mount Prospect Park District was dedicated on June 4, 1955, and
is thus celebrating its 25th Anniversary; and
I WHEREAS, the Mount Prospect Park District and the Village of Mount Prospect
have shared mutual problems and concerns and worked closely together on
many projects during the past 25 years for the citizens they serve; and
WHEREAS, the Mount Prospect Park District has worked tirelessly and with
dedication to meet the recreational ne.eds of the citize.nsof l\10UI1t Prospect
and the District.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
I OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPf:CT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That the Village of Mount Prospect congratulates the
Mount Prospect Park District on this its 25th Anniyersary and hopes that the
Park District will continue with its success in the future as it endeavors to
meet the needs of its citizens.
SECTION TWO: That the Village of Mount Prospect wishes the Park District,
the District Board and all employees of the Park District many happy years
of service in the future.
SECTION THREE: That the close wor:king relationship between the Village of
Mount Prospect and the Mount Prospect Park District be maintained now and
in the future as an example of cooperation for other governmental bodies to
emulate.
SECTION FOUR: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
