RESOLUTION OF INTENT TO COMPLETE
SEWER SYSTEM REHABILITATION

Whereas, regulations of the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency
regarding grants for construction of sewag~ treatmen& works 40 CFR 35 E, re-
quire that the Village of Mount Prospect must demonstrate that each sewer
collection system discharging to the treatment works for which application
for Step 2 and Step 3 grant assistance is made, is not or will not be subject
to excessive or possible excessive infiltration/inflow:
Therefore, be it resolved by the Village of Mount Prospect that,
inasmuch as the sewer system evaluation survey(s) of the Village of Mount
Prospect sewer system(s) has (have) been completed, and inasmuch as the
results of the survey(s) define further rehabilitation work which must be
completed, and inasmuch as some of the rehabilitation work may not be eligible
for treatment works grant assistance, the Village of Mount Prospect herewith
provides assurance that the (design and) construction of the rehabilitation
work, including any grant ineligible rehabilitation work, shall be completed,
in accordance with the following schedule:

* In accordance with 40 CFR 35.935-16, not more than eighty percent (80%) of
a Step 3 grant will be paid unless the schedule for completion of the sewer
system rehabilitation is being complied with.
