A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
TO PARTICIPATE IN THE NORTHWEST MUNICIPAL CONFERENCE
SOLID WASTE TASK FORCE
WHEREAS, the Northwest Municipal Conference is a corporate
organization representative of municipalities and townships
chartered within the State of Illinois and the County of Cook;
and
WHEREAS, Article VII, Section 10, of the Constitution of the
State of Illinois, and Chapter 127, paragraphs 741 through 748,
of the Illinois Revised Statutes, authorize and encourage
intergovernmental association and cooperation; and
WHEREAS, the public officials of the Northwest Municipal
Conference represent thirty local government bodies and a
population of 775,000 Illinois residents; and
I WHEREAS, the issued and problems related to the disposal of
Municipal Solid Waste in this jurisdiction impact all areas of
the region; and

I WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect recognizes that a
cooperative effort of multiple jurisdictions can address
the solid waste disposal alternatives in the most comprehensive
and cost-effective manner.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ~~YOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That the Village of Mount Prospect shall
participate in the Northwest MuJ¡icipalConference Solid Waste
Task Force.
SECTION TWO: That. Ralph W. Arthur. and Patrick Luehring
are hereby appolnted as representatlves
õf the Village of Mount Prospect to the Solid Waste Task Force.
SECTION THREE:" That the financial contribution of the Village
of Mount Prospect to the program shall not exceed $ 7,000.00
for the year beginning May 1, 1982.
SECTION FOUR: That this Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner
provided by law.
