A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATJON IN THE
LOCAL GOVERNMENT FINANCIAL HEALTH PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Community
Affairs is an Illinois organization developed and established
for the betterment of the State of Illinois and local units
of government¡ and
WHEREAS, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Community
Affairs has developed a program to assist local units of
government to improve economical development, which program
is entitled "Local Government Financial Health Program"; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect desires to avail itself
of the financial information offered by the Illinois
Department of Commerce and Community Affairs by participating
in the program stated herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That the Mayor and Board of Trustees hereby
express their desire to participate in the "Local Government
Financial Health Program" offered by the Illinois Department
of Commerce and Community Affairs.
SECTION TWO: That the Village of Mount Prospect elects to
participate in the aforementioned program at no cost to the
Village.
SECTION THREE: That the Village of Mount Prospect will provide
a copy of the most recent audit of Village funds to the Illinois
Department of Commerce and Community Affairs in order for that
Department to conduct a study on the financial status of the
Village and to offer recommendations to the Village.
SECTION FOUR: That this Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner
provided by law, and a certified copy of this Resolution will
be forwarded to the Illinois Department of Commerce and
Community Affairs.
