A RESOLUTION OF PARTICIPATION IN THE HOME TOWN
AWARDS PROGRAM
HEREAS, it is the goal of every municipal officiai in
llinois to strive to improve the quality of life in his or
er community; and
HEREAS, the residents of the Village of Mount Prospect take
ride in being counted among the industrious and innovative
itizenry in Illinois; and
HEREAS, community needs and problems can best be determined
nd solved through a co-operative effort between elected
fficials and those citizens they represent; and
I HEREAS, the purposes and plans of Illinois, Inc. are
esigned to identify and harness the efforts of Illinois'
ndividual citizens, governments, businesses, labor organizations,
nd other organized groups in promoting the economic and social'
ell being of all Illinois' residents; and
HEREAS, Illinois, Inc. through the Home Town Awards Program
rovides an opportunity for the Village of Mount Prospect to
rovide a means to recognize community improvement efforts in
ur community.
OW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
F THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
ECTION ONE: That the Village of Mount Prospect does hereby
0 on record to support the concept of Illinois, Inc. which is
esigned to promote the benefits of living, working, and
isiting our community for formally entering into the Horne Town
wards Program for fiscal year 1982.
ECTION TWO: That this Resolution shall be in full force and
ffect from and after its passage and approval in the manner
rovided by law.
