RESOLUTION NO. ~3
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE MANUAL ON UNIFORM
TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES
WHEREAS, traffic control guidelines are necessary to provide
for the safe and efficient traffic flow; and
WHEREAS, guidelines for traffic safety have been developed
by the State of Illinois Department of Transportation through
the Manûal on Uftiforrn Traffic Control Devices
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees have reviewed the
Illinois ~epartment of Transportation Manual on-Uniform Traffic
Control Devices -and have "determined that to insure_th.eh.eal;th,
safety and welfare of the residents of the Village of
Mount Prospect said guidelines set forth within the subject
Manual be adopted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY,
ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect hereby adopt by reference the
Illinois Department of Transportation Manual on Traffic Control
Devices as amended and as may- be (urther.amended from
time to time, as a general guideline when determining certain
traffic control regulations.
SECTION TWO: That the Village Clerk shall maintain a copy
of the Illinois Department of TransportationManual on Uniform
Traffic Control Devices which manual shall be made availqble
for viewing in the Office of the Village Clerk during regular
business hours. .
SECTION THREE: That this Resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval in the
manner provided by law.
