A RESOLUTION AFFIRMING THE SELECTION OF SEVERAL PROJECTS
FOR FUNDING UNDER THE FEDERAL AID TO
URBAN SYSTEMS PROGRAM (FAUS)
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect has been informed by
the Northwest Municipal Conference that funding for
transportation projects is available; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect recognizes the need
for certain improvement projects with the Village; and
WHEREAS, these projects conform to the specific constraints
set forth by the Chicago Area Transportation Study Northwest
Council (the Northwest Municipal Conference); and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the Village Board to affirm
the selection of the projects within the Village of
Mount Prospect to indicate their support for these projects;
and "
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees did pass and àpprove
Resolution No. 28-83 affirming the selection of specified
roadways for funding under the Federal Aid to Urban Systems
Program; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to add Emerson Street, entire
jurisdiction, and Seminole Lane (Willow Road), between
River and Wolf Roads to "the Federal Aid to Urban System
Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY,
ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Mount Prospect hereby affirms its support for
the following additional projects for funding under the Federal
Aid to Urban Systems Program:
1.
Emerson Street from Highland Avenue to Golf Road
2.
Seminole Lane (Willow Road) from River Road to
Wolf Road
SECTION TWO: The Village of Mount Prospect intends to
actively pursue the implementation of these projects as
well as those specified in Resolution 28-83 with the
cooperation of the affected State and County organizations.
SECTION THREE: That a copy of this Resolution be forwarded
to the Northwest Municipal Conference by the Village Clerk.
SECTION FOUR: That this Resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval in the
manner provided by law.
