RESOLUTION NO.
5-84
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT
WITH THE FOREST RIVER FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the Forest River Fire Protection District has asked
the Village of Mount Prospect to provide the service of the
Fire Department of the Village to said District during 1984;
and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Mount Prospect have determined that it would be in the best
interest of the Village and of said District to enter into an
Agreement with the terms and conditions set forth in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto for the provision of the Village of
Mount Prospect Fire Department to service said District.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOI~
SECTION ONE: The President of the Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect be, and she is hereby, authorized
to execute and the Village Clerk to attest, the Agreement by
and between the Village of Mount Prospect and the Forest River
Fire Protection Distriçt which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A"
and incorporated herein by this reference.
SECTION TWO: This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner
provided by law.

Ìi\1fŒREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect, hereinafter reforreçî
to as "the Village ," a municipal corporation organizl.:d under the laws
of the State of Illinois and the Forest Hiver Fire Protection District,
hereinctfter referred to as "the District," a municipal corporation
organize!} under the laws of the State of 111i11Qis, are municipal çorp~
oration:; organized under the laws of the State of Illinois and as such
have tlw power under Stat~ law to enter into agree~nts for providing
fire protection; and
\vHEREAS, the Vil,lage is desirous o~ prQviding such servic(~s
to the uj :;trict.
NOW, rrHEREFORE, IT IS AGRE!:DBY A.ND BE'1'WEEN THE VILLAGE AND
THE DISTRICT AS FOLLOWS:

Th~t for the period beginning January 1, 1984,to

salaries and oth~r expenses incurred.

It is understood that the District shall levy taxes

and shall apply for and make all efforts to receive finy
available state and/Qr federal aid to fire protection districts
as is now available or may be made available during the

The only expense falling upon the District shall be in the form of
the payments scheduled to be made hereinabove under Paragraph 2b.
7.
That, within seven (7) days of receipt of notice of
~~nexation by any municipality of land and territory within its district
(as shown in ora~ge upon the said Exhibit I hereto), the District shall

forward a copy of said notice (with the legal description contained
therein) to the Village by addressing same to the attention of the
Village Clerk

IN W¡TNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto h~ve caused this
agreemen t to be executed by their respective ofJi.çers and have affixed
hereunto their respective corporate seals, all having been authorized
by the adoption of a suitable Resolution passed and approved by each of
the respective parties hereto.
