Information The Police Department'ssquad u r P-9 is budgeted for replacement in 2019. This vehicle, which is utilized as front line patrol vehicle, is a 2014Ford Explorer all-wheel drive pursuit vehicle with approximately 124, 71 miles. Replacement Pqftcy Squad P-9 was evaluatedutilizing Public Work's detailedcomprehensive replacement licy. The policy uses a point- based criterion that rates the following four ( ) major factors: age, mileage, repair and maintenance (R&M) costs, and condition the body/mechanical components. A pointtotal equaling or exceeding eleven (11) out of sixteen ( ) indicates that a vehicle should be replaced. Squad P-9 scored a total of fourteen (1 ) points, which indicates the vehicle is recommended for replacement. This vehicle has exceeded its life expectancy (14 points) and major repairs will be needed if service life is extended any longer based on current conditions. Replacement Recommendation The Village is a member of the Northwest Municipal Conference ( ), which has pricingavailable through the Suburban urch sin Cooperative (SPQ. The Ford Explorer II-wheel drive hybrid ursuit vehicle is included in the 2019 Joint Purchasing Contract2. The police department has utilized For Explorer's in its fleet for nearly 10 years., primarily as front line patrol vehicles, during which time it has proven itself to be a reliable vehicle. The For Explorer has all-wheel drive,, which has been invaluable during times of inclement weather. New this year, For introduced a hybrid version of the police Explorer. Funding for the replacement of squad P-9 is provided in the 2019 Annual Budget on page 423 of the Community Investment Program section and listed under account 061.60.90.00.1.708.660.003. The total budgeted amount for this purchase is $42,000., which reflects the price of the vehicle as well as the electronics, emergency lighting, and vehicle markings. Accept the Suburban Purchasing Cooperative bid for the purchase of one (1) 2020 Ford Explorer all-wheel drive hybrid pursuit vehicle from Currie Motors in an amount not to exceed $42,,000. 2.
