Information
On August 8,, 201 9,, the Illinois Gaming Boardrove 7Busse Rd. Inc. / / / ri's Ristorante for a video
gaminglicense for one year, expiring August2020. Currently,, the State of Illinois has approvedvideo gamingfor eight
rti's locations in Illinois. Staff from the Village Manager"sis iy Development havevisited the
business and met with representatives from the video gamingterminal operator and general manager of Moretti's
review the location and site plan of the proposed gamingarea.
The attached submittal has been reviewed rove y the Village is Office. The proposed floor plan
includes five ( ) gaming terminals and one payment/disbursement-type machine. To helprestrict the gaming area
persons years of age or older, the planindicates rtition wall that segregates the proposed gamingarea. The
partition wall will " tall to helpobstruct the view of the gaming areawhile still allowing the gaming area to be
monitored y an employee at all times. No lighting r sounds from the gaming machines shall be visible r audible
outsidethe gaming area. Any glass facingthe video gaming areaout to the patio will be obscuredlock the view
of the gaming terminals. Installation will include new electric circuits which will supply electricity to the video gaming
machines. The proposed designmeets accessibility and fire code egressrequirements. t is the responsibility of the
owner and operator to maintainegress, accessibility and Mount Prospect codes/ordinances at all times.
final inspection will be performedfor any permitted work only after the installation of the video gamingdevices, but
prior to their use. It is the responsibility the video gamingapplicant the gaming consultant to ensure that a
final inspection is scheduled with the Village. All video monitoring equipmenth complies with section 13.204.1 of
the Village shall be installed cii the time of the final inspection. Approval of the video gaming
devices by the State of Illinois does not constitute approval by the local authority, Mount Prospect, until such time
final inspection is approvedn license is paidate locally.

1. Approve ordinance decreasing the number of Class F-3 liquor licenses by one ( ) and increasing the number of
Class - -V license y one ( ).

Staff Recommendation

A copy of State Gaming license including all documentation issued by the State of Illinois and the Illinois Gaming
Board evidencing the valid and current licensure of all video qaminq terminals must be attached.
Video Gaming should be located in a segregated area that is restricted to persons 21 years of age or older. To
the extent possible, no lighting or sound from the gaming machines shall be visible or audible outside the
segregated area.
Please note that an alterations to the b►uildin will re vire a buildin ermit and additional inspections.
A three hundred dollar($300.00) non-refundable application fee,
A one thousand dollar ($1000.00) non-refundable annual permit fee for each Video Gaming Terminal as
prescribed by Appendix A of the Village of Mount Prospect Municipal Code.The annual fee will coincide with the
renewal of li uor license each year. Terminal numbers must be included in this application.
A final building permit inspection is required by the Village for any permitted work. In addition, before any
video gaming device is approved for operation to the public, a final inspection of the installed device(s) by the
Village Manager's office is required to approve the gaming license.
Please nate all applications must have Village Board approval. The Village Board meets the first and third
Tuesday of each month.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13 OF THE
VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT
PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS ACTING IN THE EXERCISE OF THEIR HOME RULE POWERS:
SECTION ONE: That in accordance with Subsection A of Section 13.108 of Chapter 13 of the Village Code
of Mount Prospect, as amended, the Corporate Authorities shall determine the number of Liquor Licenses
available in each Classification and shall establish a list specifying the number of Liquor Licenses
authorized. Said list is hereby amended increasing the number of Class "F-3-V" Liquor Licenses by
One (1) 1799 S. BUSSE RD., INC. D/B/A MORETTI'S RISTORANTE and deleting the number of"F-3"
by One(1) 1799 S. BUSSE RD., INC. D/B/A MORETTI'S RISTORANTE located at 1799 S. Busse Road
