Recommended Action The Village Board pass the accompanying Resolution authorizing the appointment of a
delegate and alternate delegate to the Intergovernmental Risk Management Agency.

Information
When the Village adopted the Contract and By-Laws of the Intergovernmental Risk Management Agency (IRMA) by
Ordinance in December 2017, and thereby became a member of said cooperative by contract, the Village Board shall,
by majority vote, select one (1) person to represent the Village on the Board of Directors of IRMA. This resolution
authorizes the appointment of Amit Thakkar, Director of Finance, to represent the Village of Mount Prospect on the
Board of Directors of IRMA effective upon approval of this resolution; and Heidi Neu, Human Resources Coordinator as
the alternative representative to serve if Amit Thakkar is unable to carry out those duties. Adoption of this Resolution
shall supersede Resolution No. 14-19, approved April 3, 2019, which appointed the Deputy Director of Finance and
the Village Manager as delegate and alternate delegate respectively.

Staff Recommendation
It is recommended that the Village Board pass the accompanying Resolution authorizing the appointment of Amit
Thakkar, Director of Finance, as delegate and the reappointment of Heidi Neu, Human Resources Coordinator, as
alternative delegate to the Intergovernmental Risk Management Agency (IRMA).

RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING
A DELEGATE AND ALTERNATE DELEGATE
TO THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL RISK MANAGEMENT AGENCY(IRMA)
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect is a member of the Intergovernmental Risk
Management Agency(IRMA); and
WHEREAS, the Contract and Bylaws of IRMA provides that member units of local
government shall by majority vote of its corporate authorities select a Delegate and an Alternate to
represent the Village of Mount Prospect on the Board of Directors of said Intergovernmental Agency.
BE IT RESOLVED by the CORPORATE AUTHORITIES, of the Village of Mount
Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, as follows:
Section One: Amit Thakkar, Director of Finance, of the Village of Mount Prospect, is hereby
appointed as delegate to represent the Village of Mount Prospect on the Board of Directors of said
Intergovernmental Risk Management Agency.
Section Two: Heidi Neu, Human Resources Coordinator, of the Village of Mount Prospect, is
hereby selected as the alternative representative to serve if Amit Thakkar is unable to carry out his
aforesaid duties as the representative of the Village of Mount Prospect to said Intergovernmental Agency.
Section Three: Adoption of this resolution shall supersede Resolution No. 14-19, approved on
April 3, 2019.
Section Four: That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval in the manner provided by law.
