RESOLUTION NO. :t8-99
A RESOLUTION TO REPEAL RESOLUTION NO. 6-99 AND RESOLUTION NO. 7-99
RELATIVE TO BEACON HOME DIRECT, INC. D/B/A SCOTTY'S HOME MARKET
MAKING APPLICATION FOR COOK COUNTY CLASS 6B TAX ABATEMENT
AND FOR CERTAIN SALES TAX RELIEF
WHEREAS, on February 16, 1999, the Village of Mount Prospect adopted Resolution
No. 6-99 in support of Scotty's Home Market making application for Cook County Class
6B Tax Abatement; and
WHEREAS, on that same date the Village of Mount Prospect approved Resolution No.
7-99 to authorize the execution of an agreement providing for the partial abatement of
sales taxes for Beacon Home Direct, Inc. D/B/A Scotty's Home Market; and
WHEREAS, the applicant has withdrawn its request to locate in the Village of Mount
Prospect; and
WHEREAS, based upon that withdrawal, it is no longer advisable for the Village of
Mount Prospect to support the seeking of the Cook County Class 6B Tax Abatement for
Scotty's Home Market; and
WHEREAS, based upon that withdrawal, it is no longer advisable for the Village of
Mount Prospect to offer any tax relief incentive for the use or development of the
property in question.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That Resolution No. 6-99, passed and approved by the Mayor and
Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect on February 16, 1999, is hereby
repealed.
SECTION TWO: That Resolution No. 7~99, approved by the Mayor and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect on February 16, 1999, is hereby repealed.

SECTION THREE: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
