Chairperson Powers called the meeting to order at 3:15 p.m. The purpose of this meeting is to conduct
Fire Department Oral Interviews.
Roll Call: James Powers, Chairperson
Mark Busse, Commissioner
Jeanna Claussen, Commissioner
Also Present: John Dolan, Deputy Fire Chief
Tim Cassidy, Battalion Chief
CITIZENS TO BE HEARD
No one in attendance.
CLOSED SESSION
Chairperson Powers asked for a motion to go into closed session:
1. Personnel 5 ILCS 120/2 (c) (1) -The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline,
performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body, including hearing
testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee to determine its validity
2. To conduct Fire Department Oral Interviews.
A motion was made by Commissioner Busse and seconded by Commissioner Claussen to go into Closed Session at
3:16 p.m.
Roll Call: Ayes: Busse, Claussen, Powers Nays: None Abstain: None Motion Carried
The Board returned to Open Session with Chairman Powers, Commissioner Busse and Commission
Claussen present at 8:22 p.m.
ELIMINATION OF ANY CANDIDATES BASED UPON BACKGROUND ORAL INTERVIEWS
Chairperson Powers stated the Board concluded the interviews and identified sixteen (16) individuals
meeting the criteria to advance to the next level and to remove from the list the two (2) individuals who did
not meet criteria.
A motion was made by Commissioner Claussen and seconded by Commissioner Busse.
Roll Call: Ayes: Busse, Claussen, Powers Nays: None Motion Carried
With no further business, a motion was made by Commissioner Claussen and seconded by
Commissioner Busse to adjourn the meeting at 8:23 p.m.
