Chairperson Powers called the meeting to order at 1:30 p.m. for conducting Fire Department Interviews,
Roll Call: James Powers, Chairperson
Rockne Bork, Commissioner
William Knee, Commissioner
Also Present: John Dolan, Deputy Fire Chief
Tim Cassidy, Battalion Chief
CITIZENS TO BE HEARD
No one in attendance.
CLOSED SESSION
Chairperson Powers asked for a motion to go into closed session:
1. Personnel 5 ILCS 120/2 (c) (1) -The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline,
performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body, including hearing
testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee to determine its validity
2. To conduct Fire Department Oral Interviews.
A motion was made by Commissioner Knee and seconded by Commissioner Bork to go into Closed Session:
Roll Call: Ayes: Bork, Knee, Powers Nays: None Abstain: None Motion Carried
The Board returned to open session with everyone present from the previous session at 6:30 p.m.
ELIMINATION OF ANY CANDIDATES BASED UPON BACKGROUND ORAL INTERVIEWS
Chairperson Powers stated the Board concluded the interviews and identified five (5) individuals meeting
the criteria to advance to the next level and to remove from the list the two (2) individuals who did not
pass and the two (2) individuals who did not show for their interviews.
A motion was made by Commissioner Bork and seconded by Commissioner Knee.
Roll Call: Ayes: Bork, Knee, Powers Nays: None Motion Carried
With no further business, a motion was made by Commissioner Knee and seconded by Commissioner
Bork to adjourn the meeting.
