HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 5017 04/20/1999 ORDINANCE NO. 5017 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DISPOSAL OF CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT Passed and approved by the President and Board of Trustees the 20th day of April, 1999 Published in pamphlet form by authority of the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, the 21st day of April, 1999 VWL/ 4/10/99 4/14/99 4/15~99 ORDINANCE NO. 5017 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DISPOSAL OF CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT WHEREAS, in the opinion of at least three-fourths of the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, it has been determined that it is no longer necessary, useful, or in the best interest of the Village of Mount Prospect to retain ownership of the following equipment: Sixteen (16) Bunker Coats Twenty-six (26) Bunker Pants Twelve (12) Pairs of Boots Seventeen (17) Helmets Two (2) Units of Toro Mowing Equipment presently used by the Mount Prospect Fire and Public Works Departments; and WHEREAS, in the spirit of cooperation between municipalities, the corporate authorities of the Village have determined that fellow members of the Illinois Fire Chief's Association, and the Arlington Heights Park District might be served by making available the equipment being the subject of this ordinance. WHEREAS, the Fire Department equipment being the subject of this ordinance will be published in the Equipment Exchange Column of The Gong, a monthly publication of the Illinois Fire Chief's Association, to be donated to a member department in need of such equipment, and the mowing equipment will be sold to the Arlington Heights Park District. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: The corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect find that the best interests of the Village will be served by disposing of the following equipment presently used by the Mount Prospect Fire and Public Works Departments: Sixteen (16) Bunker Coats Twenty-six (26) Bunker Pants Twelve (12) Pairs of BOots Seventeen (17) Helmets Two (2) Units of Toro Mowing Equipment . 2/2 Fire/PW disposals SECTION TVVO: That this equipment is no longer necessary, useful, or in the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect, and that the best interests of the Village will be served by disposing of said property in the manner specified herein. SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
