Information
After 3 years of having a Class "F-2" (wine and beer only) liquor license, owner Doug Stewart has decided not
to renew his license. He stated that the demand for alcohol during lunch and dinner hours is minimal and does
not justify the $1,650.00 cost of the annual license. Mount Prospect annual liquor licenses are renewed every
May 1st and run thru April 30th. Mr. Stewart understands that ALL alcohol must be removed from the premise
by midnight April 30 when his current license expires. Mount Prospect Police department will complete a
compliance check.
Alternatives
1. Approve ordinance decreasing the number of Class "F-2" liquor licenses by one (1).
2. Action at discretion of Village Board.
Staff Recommendation
Staff recommends approval so as to maintain an accurate number of liquor licenses.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13 OF THE
VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT
PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS ACTING IN THE EXERCISE OF THEIR HOME RULE POWERS:
SECTION ONE: That in accordance with Subsection A of Section 13.108 of Chapter 13 of the Village Code of
Mount Prospect, as amended, the Corporate Authorities shall determine the number of Liquor Licenses
available in each Classification and shall establish a list specifying the number of Liquor Licenses authorized.
Said list is hereby amended by dec-2Liquor License by One (1) YD
FOODS d/b/a YUPIN THAI KITCHEN 1652 W. ALGONQION Said list is as follows:
Five (5) Class P-1 License
Ten (10) Class P-2 Licenses
One (1) Class P-3 Licenses
Zero (0) Class P-4 Licenses
