PROCLAMATION
Recognition of Olivia Glowacka
as a State of Illinois Top High School Innovator of the Year
WHEREAS, Olivia Glowacka has been recognized by Millikin University,
Illinois State University and Pontiac Township High School for the
WHEREAS, test scores and grade point averages do not tell us every
important thing about our students, and because motivation, creativity, and
tenacity to innovate are essential to our society, and;
WHEREAS, Millikin University, Illinois State University and Pontiac Township
High School have created the awards program to recognize and celebrate
those top students in the State of Illinois whose contributions are innovative,
creative, or inspirational, and;
WHEREAS, it is important to our community, our state, our country, and
our world to recognize innovation and to encourage innovation in our school
systems, and;
WHEREAS, Olivia Glowacka exemplifies the spirit of National Small Business
Week, April 29 May 5,
pioneers who think big, take risks and work hard; and
WHEREAS, Olivia Glowacka has illustrated her enterprising and innovative
approach to work through developing her Dérive Travel Experience, a travel
management & social media app, and;
WHEREAS, Olivia Glowacka was selected as one of only seven students
throughout the State of Illinois to receive this prestigious recognition, and;
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect is proud to recognize Olivia
Glowacka as an outstanding contributor to the Village of Mount Prospect;
NOW THEREFORE, I Mayor Juracek along with the Mount Prospect Village
Board, proclaim the following:
That Olivia Glowacka be and is hereby officially commended for her
outstanding service in the field of innovation
and that this Proclamation be presented to her to serve as a reminder that
through her perseverance and work ethic she has made a valuable
contribution to our community, our state, our country, and our world.
