Information
Tuco Taqueria Margarita Bar, located at 211 Randhurst Village Drive, State liquor license expired March 31, 2018 and was
recently revoked by the State due to back taxes owed. Chapter 13 of the Mount Prospect Liquor Code Section 13.203 B6
states: No liquor license may be issued to an entity not eligible for a State retail liquor dealer's license. Truco has closed
its doors to the public with no intention of reopening.
Alternatives
1. Approve an ordinance decreasing the number of Class "F-3" liquor licenses by one.
2. Action at discretion of Village Board.
Staff Recommendation
Staff recommends approval so as to maintain an accurate number of liquor licenses within classifications.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13 OF THE
VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT
PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS ACTING IN THE EXERCISE OF THEIR HOME RULE POWERS:
SECTION ONE: That in accordance with Subsection A of Section 13.108 of Chapter 13 of the Village Code
of Mount Prospect, as amended, the Corporate Authorities shall determine the number of Liquor Licenses
available in each Classification and shall establish a list specifying the number of Liquor Licenses
authorized. Said list is hereby amended by decreasing the number of "Class F-3" Liquor License by
One (1)TRUCO MP LLC d/b/a TRUCO TAQUERIA MARGARITA BAR located at 211 RANDHURST
VILLAGE DRIVE Said list is as follows:"
