HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 5044 09/07/1999 ORDINANCE NO. 5044 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS (TRIANGLE AT RAND AND CAMP MCDONALD ROADS) Passed and approved by the President and Board of Trustees the 7th dayof September ,1999 Published in pamphlet form by authority of the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, the 8th day of September , 1999. hm 8/31/99 ORDINANCE NO. 5044 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS (TRIANGLE AT RAND AND CAMP MCDONALD ROADS) WHEREAS, the territory is not within the corporate limits of any municipality but is contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect; and WHEREAS, legal notices regarding the intention of the Village to annex the territory have been sent to all public bodies required to receive such notice State statute; and WHEREAS, copies of such notices required to be recorded, Jf any, have been recorded in the Office of the Recorder of Cook County; and WHEREAS, the territory is completely surrounded by one or more municipalities; and WHEREAS, all documents and other necessary legal requirements are in full compliance with the terms of the annexation agreement and with the statutes of the State of Illinois, specifically Section 7-1-13 of the Illinois Municipal Code, 65 ILCS 5/7-1-13; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect that the territory be annexed thereto. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: The following described territory: Commencing at the intersection of the south right-of-way line of Camp McDonald Road and the northeast right-of-way line of Rand Road; thence southeast along the northeast right-of-way line of Rand Road a distance of approximately 1130 feet to the west line of Old Orchard Country Club Village; thence north along the west line of Old Orchard Country Club Village a distance of 741.94 feet to the south right-of-way line of Camp McDonald Road; thence west along the south right-of-way line of Camp McDonald Road a distance of approximately 850 feet to the point of beginning, nnexation P. 2/2 being indicated on an accurate map of the annexed territory, which is appended to and made a part of this Ordinance, is hereby annexed to the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois. SECTION TVVO: The Village Clerk is hereby directed to record with the Cook County Recorder, and to file with the Cook County Clerk, a certified copy of this Ordinance, together with the accurate map of the territory annexed appended to the Ordinance. SECTION THREE: That this Qrdinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
