HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 5065 12/07/1999 ORDINANCE NO. 5065 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DISPOSAL OF CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT Passed and approved by the President and Board of Trustees the 7th day of December, 1999 Published in pamphlet form by authority of the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, the 8th day of December, 1999 hm vwl 11/30/99 ORDINANCE NO. 5065 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DISPOSAL OF CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, have determined that it is no longer necessary, useful or in the best interest of the Village of Mount Prospect to retain ownership of a 1987 Universal Boyer Fire Engine, Number 513, previously used by the Mount Prospect Fire Department; and WHEREAS, in the spirit of cooperation between municipalities, the Corporate Authorities of the Village have determined that the surplus vehicle should be made available to other municipalities; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: This vehicle is no longer necessary or useful to the Village of Mount Prospect. The best interests of the Village will be served by disposing of the property in the manner specified below. SECTION TWO: The Fire Department vehicle being the subject of this ordinance will be listed for $45,000 with the following brokers: Alpine Apparatus of Basil, Colorado; Big Red Engines of Midway, Georgia; Firetec of Long Island, New York. The vehicle will also be listed on bidgov, com, a government to government internet web site. The Village is authorized to accept any bid that is at least eighty (80%) percent of the listing price. ire Page 2/2 SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall be in full fome and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
