Chairperson Powers called the meeting to order at 5:48 p.m.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Chairperson Powers asked for a motion to approve the Open Session Minutes of June 5, 2017.

A motion was made by Commissioner Busse and seconded by Commissioner Hinaber.

Chairperson Powers asked for a motion to approve the Open Session Minutes of June 26, 2017.
A motion was made by Commissioner Busse and seconded by Commissioner Hinaber.

Chairperson Powers asked for a motion to approve the Open Session Minutes of June 28, 2017.
A motion was made by Commissioner Hinaber and seconded by Commissioner Busse.

FIRE DEPARTMENT UPDATE
No Report.
POLICE DEPARTMENT UPDATE
Acting Chief Eterno advised the Board we received 243 applications were turned in and 140 applicants
showed up for the August 2nd Orientation. Out of the 140 applicants, 130 candidates took the written test..
The next set of interviews will be held September 12, 13, and 14. There was a discussion regarding the
hiring of new officers and staff.
APPROVED POLICE OFFICER ELIGIBILITY LIST III
Acting Chief Eterno presented the Police Officer Eligibility List III for the Board's review and approval.
Chairperson Powers asked for a motion to approve the Police Officer Eligibility List III.
A motion was made by Commissioner Busse and seconded by Commissioner Hinaber.

CLOSED SESSION
Chairman Powers asked for a motion to go into closed session under Personnel 5 ILCS 120/2 (c) (1) -The
appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of
the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee to determine its
validity, to approve the Closed Session minutes of June 5, 2017, June 26, 2017, June 28, 2017, and July 31,
2017, and for the Presentation and Training by 1/0 Solutions for Lateral Transfers.
A motion was made by Commissioner Hinaber and seconded by Commissioner Busse to go into Closed
Session at 5:58 p.m.
Roll Call: Ayes: Bork, Busse, Powers, Hinaber Nays: None Abstain: None Motion Carried
The Board returned to open session at 7:06 p.m.

The Board discussed the next meeting and agreed to hold the meeting prior to the first interview on

With no further business, a motion was made by Commissioner Busse and seconded by Commissioner
Bork to adjourn the meeting at 7:10 p.m.
