AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERGOVERNMENTAL MAJOR CASE ASSISTANCE TEAM AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, a number of agencies, including the Village of Mount Prospect, have negotiated the
terms of an Intergovernmental Major Case Assistance Team Agreement, known as "MCAT"; and
WHEREAS, such Agreement would provide mutual police assistance for investigation and control
of major police cases to any of its members in accordance with the terms of that Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the provisions of such Agreement would be in the best interest of the residents of the
Village of Mount Prospect;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE
OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
E "TB b,,,,LThe foregoing WHEREAS clauses are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as
though fully set forth therein thereby making the findings as hereinabove set forth.
aFQ0N 2: The Village President and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an
Intergovernmental Major Case Assistance Team Agreement consisting of five (5) pages, which Agreement
is appended to and made part of this Resolution.
SECTION 3: This Resolution take effect immediately upon its passage and the entry of the
municipality or agency into the Intergovernmental Major Case Assistance Team Agreement shall take place
in accordance with Section 8 of that Agreement.
SFTION : This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
