HomeMy WebLinkAbout06/15/1992 Coffee with Council 06/15/1992Village of Mount Prospect Mount Prospect, Illinois INTEROFFICE MEMORANDUM >� TO: John Fulton Dixon, Village Manager Department Heads and Administrators FROM: Chuck Bencic, Inspection Services Director DATE: June 15, 1992 RE: COFFEE WITH COUNCIL The monthly Coffee with Council was held.on June 13, 1992. Representing the Village were Trustee Hoefert, Trustee Wilks, Trustee Clowes, Village Manager John Fulton Dixon and Director of Inspection Services Chuck Bencic. Mr. R.J. Brandenburg - 912 So. Hi-Lusi stated there was garbage on the lot at 500 W. Golf Rd. and request the Village do something. He was told the Village would look into it. (Note: There have been numerous property maintenance complaints on this property. We have had the owner in court previously. The latest complaint was on a tree on the site. The owner cut the tree down but a portion of the trunk is still up and the branches are still in he yard. Bob Roels has notified the owner to clean up the yard.) Bill Walters - 209 Neil spoke on three (3) items: a) He and his neighbors have been requesting a stop sign at Neil and Autumn. He wondered what the status was for appearance on the Safety Commission. Mr. Walters was informed traffic counts were being taken and when these counts are. compiled we would notify him of the results and a possible date for the Safety Committee. b) Mr. Walters questioned the status of the sidewalk on Harvest Lane near Opus. Chuck Bencic'indicated this walk was on last years sidewalk program but was not installed because we were waiting for the Park District to confirm they had permission to extend the walk through Opus to the Park site. We have not received this confirmation from the Park District. The three Trustees and Mr. Dixon requested the Engineering Division be informed to place the walk on this years sidewalk program and to install it. TO: John Fulton Dixon, Village Manager Department Heads and Administrators FROM: Chuck Bencic, Inspection Services Director DATE: June 15, 1992 RE: COFFEE WITH COUNCIL Page 2 c) Mr. Walters also asked if something could be done to stop the runoff from the parking lot of the office building adjacent to the west pond in Harvest Heights from draining into the pond because it is causing erosion in the yard. Engineering will check the drainage in this area and make some suggestions. A general discussion on various subjects took place between the Trustees, Mr. Dixon and Mr. Bencic. A request was made for the Planning Department to look into the types of signage available for the Village Hall. The meeting adjourned at approximately 11:30 A.M. Chuck Bencic cc: File
